We’ve got BIG news… WE’RE MOVING!

Our new space is located on 235 N Market Street in Old Towne Petersburg, just steps from the Appomattox River Trail. It sits on Brickhouse Run, a tributary to the Appomattox, and is in walking distance to the library, art galleries, dining, shopping, and historical attractions.

With our new space, FOLAR will have space to host more hands-on workshops and events. In our new garden, we can propagate native plants to restore local habitats. And we have lots of opportunities to promote outdoor recreation and active living through biking, paddling, walking, fishing, and more. We are grateful to everyone who is helping us make this big change, especially the Crater Planning District Commission (CPDC), which launched FOLAR in 2000.

FOLAR is fundraising to support renovations to the space as well as ongoing operating costs.
