We are eager to join forces with the local community to enhance the riverfront and increase access to the river in the historic Pocahontas neighborhood of Petersburg. We want to nurture the spirit of community building in our region, especially in Petersburg which was one of the first cities in the United States to recognize Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
We will be picking up trash and improving the trail for visitors and for wildlife. As always, no experience is necessary, and all gloves and tools will be provided. Training and plant identification will be at the beginning of each event, so this is also a great opportunity to learn about your local plants!
