Join us as we sow seeds of restoration at the University Blvd Trailhead. Using grant funding secured through the Virginia Conservation Assistance Program and your dedication, we’ll be expanding our existing native plant gardens on March 23. This is a great opportunity to learn and contribute to your local green space!
We’ll be adding new plant varieties, creating pollinator pathways, and designing inviting spaces for both humans and wildlife to enjoy. Whether you’re a seasoned botanist or a nature newbie, there’s a place for you at these events. We welcome individuals, families, and groups to join us in making a difference. The rewards go beyond the satisfaction of knowing you’ve contributed to a greener blueway-greenway. You’ll also:
• Connect with like-minded individuals passionate about conservation
• Learn valuable skills about native plants and ecological restoration
• Enjoy the camaraderie of working together towards a common goal
• Witness firsthand the transformative power of community action
So, mark your calendars, grab your gardening gloves (or borrow some of ours), and get ready to dig into the rich soil of possibility! No experience is necessary and snacks and water will be provided. Register for this event via the link below and stay updated on other volunteer opportunities through our Meetup page. Together, let’s cultivate a brighter future, one native plant at a time!
