DONATE IN HONOR / MEMORY OF A LOVED ONE

A gift to FOLAR in honor or memory of a loved one is a wonderful way to pay tribute to someone—or a special occasion. If your gift is in honor, then we will send a notification to the honoree. If your gift is a memorial, the next of kin you specify will receive a notification of your donation—and their loved one’s name will appear in our Annual Report.  Your contribution will help support our organization’s much-needed programs and is tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.

MEMORIAL BENCH PROGRAM

Sponsoring a bench on the Appomattox River Trail is a great way to memorialize your loved one or honor an organization while supporting FOLAR and the Trail.  FOLAR works with the localities of Dinwiddie, Petersburg, and Prince George to place memorial benches along the trail.

Our benches are 6 feet wide with a comfortable back, and made from UV protected, low-maintenance, recycled, dark green plastic. The benches have a 50-year guarantee against breakage. A personalized message can be engraved directly into the bench, up to 3 lines. Bench locations and personalized messages will be finalized in consultation with FOLAR staff and local Parks and Recreation Departments.
