WHAT ARE TRAIL COUNTS? Trail Counts are important biannual counts conducted along the Appomattox River Trail.  Supported by volunteers like you, this effort gathers critical data about biking and walking activity to improve planning and design of future trails.

HOW IT WORKS. Volunteers choose a day and location from the list of sites and then count the number of people walking and biking along their trail section for a 2-hour period.

DATES: May 13TH and 15TH

TIMES: 10:00am – 12 noon or 4:00pm – 6:00pm

Click here for a map of all of the Trail Count locations. Use the form below to register for the day(s) and time(s) you would like to volunteer.

Training materials and specific count locations will be sent following registration. Please contact Heather Barrar at hbarrar@folar-va.org with any question or concerns you might have.
