FOLAR invests in developing the greenway-bluewaytrail network, enhancing the river and publicaccess to it, and organizing cleanups and other events that protect the river. In addition to recognizingand enjoying the Lower Appomattox River by attending river-related events and programs,there are two other ways to get involved directly:
- Donate financially
- Volunteer to help FOLAR with cleanups, trail projects, or administrative support
- Participate in one of our many events like the Annual Paddle/Battle and RiverFest
- Get out and enjoy the lower Appomattox riverfront resources at our many parks and access point
