FOLAR invests in developing the greenway-blueway trail network, enhancing the river and to it, and organizing cleanups and other events that protect the river. In addition to enjoying the lower Appomattox River by attending river-related events and programs, there are other ways to get involved directly!

The FOLAR board meets bimonthly to establish goals and update members on progress of projects. It is an organization that consists of volunteers who are serious about the projects they take on that results in a good track record of a list of successfully completed assignments. See our FOLAR Bylaws.
